1. After installation adjustment, it is difficult to maintain strict and accurate alignment of the two axes

Due to manufacturing, installation, load deformation and temperature changes, it is difficult to maintain strict and precise alignment of the two axes when the installation is adjusted.

There is a certain degree of displacement in the X and Y directions and the deflection angle CI. When the radial displacement is large, the slider coupling can be selected, and the universal coupling can be selected for the connection of the angular displacement or the intersection of two axes. When the two axes produce a large additional relative displacement during the working process, a flexible coupling should be selected.

For high-speed transmission shafts, couplings with high balance accuracy, such as diaphragm couplings, etc., should be selected, and slider couplings with eccentricity should not be selected.

For example, for high-power heavy-duty transmission, gear couplings can be selected; For transmissions with severe shock loads or the need to eliminate the torsional vibration of the shaft system, a coupling with high elasticity such as a tire coupling can be selected.

For example, when the radial displacement is large, the slider coupling can be selected, and the universal coupling can be selected for the connection of the two axes with large angular displacement or intersecting.

6. Reliability and working environment of the coupling

Lubrication-free couplings, which are usually made of metal elements, are more reliable; Couplings that require lubrication are susceptible to their performance being affected by lubrication perfection and can contaminate the environment. Couplings containing non-metallic components such as rubber are sensitive to temperature, corrosive media and strong light, and are prone to aging.

On the premise of satisfying the convenient performance, the coupling should be easy to assemble and disassemble, simple to maintain, and low cost. For example, the rigid coupling is not only simple in structure, but also easy to assemble and disassemble, and can be used for low-speed, rigid transmission shafts. General non-metallic elastic element couplings (such as elastic sleeve pin couplings, elastic pin couplings, plum blossom elastic couplings, etc.) are widely used in general medium and low power transmission due to their good comprehensive capabilities.
