What are CNC Machines?
A CNC machine is a manufacturing tool that receives programmed information like speed and position from a computer to determine the tasks it will carry out. “CNC” stands for Computer Numerical Control.
CNC machines can work with plastics, metals, aluminum, wood, and many other hard materials by carving away at a solid block and turning it into a new shape. Because these machines are computer-controlled, they produce consistent and accurate results — unlike working by hand.
The X-CARVE is a CNC machine controlled by our EASEL Software. By working with a design in EASEL, the computer tells the X-CARVE’s router where to move so it produces high-quality products such as signs, artwork, home decor, and furniture, for personal or business use.
