ALUMASA es una empresa familiar española dedicada al lacado de bobinas de aluminio en continuo desde el año 2000. Tiene más de 35 años de experiencia en el sector del aluminio, gracias a la primera empresa del Grupo López Bolaños: 'Cristales y Persianas López'. Su política de constante expansión, el esfuerzo de su equipo, su compromiso con el medio ambiente y la mejora continua de sus procesos para ofrecer la mejor calidad y servicio, han llevado a ALUMASA a lanzarse a la función de aluminio reciclado. En 2017 pondrá en marcha la laminación de aluminio en caliente para obtener de material reciclado, bobinas de aluminio que posteriormente serán lacadas. ALUMASA ofrece colores a la carta y actualmente está presente en los mercados más exigentes del lacado en continuo.

OUR PROCESS

100% INTEGRACIÓN VERTICAL
ALUMINIUM RECYCLING

The first step of our process starts in the recycling bin. We select aluminium scrap, we separate them from any other material such as iron and then we put it into our rotatory furnace where we clean the material and we we obtain liquid aluminium.
ALUMASA today has 2 rotary furnaces of 24 T, having the capacity to recycle aluminum components and thus obtain free of impurities liquid metal .
CONTINOUS CASTING

Once the aluminium is clean and liquid, we are ready to obtain the raw material of our process: “aluminium coils”. To do so, we need a continous casting machine which will produce aluminium coils in 8 mm. Then, a cold mill will reduce the thickness of our coil in order to obtain thinner strips.
ALUMASA currently has four continuous castings. Each of them has a capacity of 10 T.
COLD MILL

From the contionus casting line, we obtain aluminium strip thickness 5.5 mm. Next step is to decrease the thickness of the strip depending on the final product requirements. To do so, cold mill process is required in which high pressure is applied. Several passes should be applied depending on the final thickness. In addition, heat treatment process should be applied.
ALUMASA acquired a new generation cold mill from MINO S.P.A. The thickness range is from 8 mm to 0.20 mm and the capacity is 40.000 tonnes per year. It is operating from the beginning of 2021.
TENSION LEVELING LINE

Tension leveling is necessary in order to take off the tensions generated during the cold mill process in the strip.
ALUMASA bougth a new generation tension leveling line in 2019. The line is working from 2020.
COIL COATING

The raw material for the coil coating process are aluminium coils in thin thickness. ALUMASA has three coil coating lines with a capacity of 20 000 T. Enviroment and people are our priority, that is why in our process we DO NOT USE CHROME and we have the most advanced technology to filter the gases generated in our plant.
ALUMASA started its adventure in 2000. A coating line was bought and we started to run the company with 15 people. Now, we have 3 coatings lines a team of 70 people.
SLITTING LINES

Final products that can be manufactured with aluminium coil coating are diverse. Sandwich panels, slats for rolling shutter, venetian blinds, car’s parts… That is why aluminium coil coating is sold in different dimension and formats such as coils and sheets. In order to obtain these formats, it is needed transversal and longitudinal slitting lines.
ALUMASA has five slitting lines, three longitudinal and two transversal ones.
POWDER LINE

For thickness higher than 1,5 mm and extrusion profiles, powdercoating is required.
ALUMASA has a powder line in order to offer a solution for specific products.
COATING LABORATORY

ALUMASA requires the best quality and service for their customer. That is the reason why in our plant we can manufacture the specific coating that our customer needs.
In 2016 AKZONOBEL has made a revumping of their machines. They manufacture most of our coatings in their lab with the most advanced technology.
LOGISTICS

ALUMASA store 5.000 tons of aluminium coils. To stock them in a proper way, alumasa has two smart warehouses.
ALUMASA has a big smart warehouse for 4.000kg and a small smart house for small coils of 1.000kg.
