How Does Auger Filler Work?
Accutek uses brushless self-driving servo motors to control auger motion in the fillers. Our auger filler solutions have both automatic and semi-automatic auger controls for compatibility with each production line. The system works with a 3-step process that includes:
Step 1: The filler starts the function by setting up the desired filling parameters using a sophisticated PLC system to ensure accurate fill levels.
Step 2: In semi-automatic fillers, the operators can feed containers and initiate the filling process with a push button. Our automatic auger fillers have a power conveyor, and automated fill heads mounted on the frame. The machine works with indexing controls, while the PLC system facilitates adjustments of machine functioning and fill capacities.
Step 3: In the final step, the hopper will feed the product to the auger screw while the motor rotates the auger at a constant speed as the product passes through the funnel. An agitator blade rotating opposite the auger screw homogenizes the product and prevents rat-holing in the funnel.
Our auger filler machines have low parallel flights to ensure higher precision in the fill volumes in every cycle.
