You should expect to break bits with greater frequency when using a high-RPM angle grinder, especially when working with dense wood, like oak or elm. And because of increased stress on bits, the shaft setting needs to be tight. Unfortunately, the steel set screw is too short, increasing the likelihood of stripping the softer threads of the aluminum adapter. So, Each time you have to change a bit out, you run the risk of stripping threads, and turning your adapter into a piece of recycling.
The adapter is 1 1/8" in diameter, with a 1/4" diameter shaft. The set screw is only 1/4", rather than 7/16" (which would make full use of the threading).
Also, as most inoculated dowels are 5/16", rather than 1/4", be aware that your bit options for 5/16" holes will be limited by the 1/4" diameter shaft. The adapter is not designed for hex-shank bits, so you'll need a 5/16" bit with 1/4" straight shank.
